The Fashion Law Africa Summit 2023 hosted its very first in-person summit in New York City, in partnership with Shopify New York. The one-day industry event explored fashion law, marketing, and global business strategies within the African fashion ecosystem. Key sessions featured practical fashion law insights, an Instagram-led social media discussion, marketing strategies shared by Fenty’s Global Brand Marketing Manager, panels on the influence of Black designers on streetwear, and conversations on African fashion’s expansion into global markets. Through expert-led panels and workshops, the summit equipped designers and brands with the tools to protect their work, elevate their visibility, and scale internationally.
